According to sources, IAS officer turned politician Shah Faesal was arrested while attempting to leave India. He was returned to Srinagar and held under house arrest. Faesal joins the list of other top Cashmiri leaders, including Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, who were arrested following the government's decision to end Jammu and Kashmir's unique status by repealing Article 370. A Kolkata court issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday against Congressman Shashi Tharoor for a comment he made last year about a ' Hindu Pakistan ' creation. A Metropolitan Magistrate Court issued a warrant against the Thiruvananthapuram MP based on a case filed by Sumeet Chowdhary, a lawyer. Tharoor had said in July last year that if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it would create a condition that would lead to a ' Hindu Pakistan ' being formed. Speaking at an event in Thiruvananthapuram, Tharoor had said the BJP would write a new constitution that would pave the way for a country like Pakistan where minority rights are not respected.

New Delhi: A fire broke out on Saturday evening on the second floor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The fire allegedly broke out near the hospital's emergency ward and patients and employees were evacuated from one building. Patients were also moved from neighboring wards.
