Mumbai: In an unfortunate incident, a 26-year-old travel influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, a chartered accountant who worked with a global IT/technology consulting firm, died after slipping into a 300-foot deep chasm while trying to create an Instagram Reel.

Aanvi, a well-known travel influencer with about 2,69,000 Instagram followers, was visiting the Kumbhe waterfall in Mangao, Maharashtra’s Raigad district, along with seven other companions.

She reportedly fell headfirst into the gorge while filming the beautiful surroundings.

Her body had to be retrieved by a team of fifty-six rescuers because, at first, she was invisible. She was still alive when brought to a neighbouring but passed away from her severe injuries.

Aanvi was well-known for producing content about tourism during the monsoon, especially in Maharashtra. She described herself as a “travel detective” on Instagram.

Kamdar recently shared a video on Instagram that featured a list of monsoon destinations in India, such as Udaipur, Delhi, Agra, Bekal (Kerala), and several locations in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
