China Leads the 2024 Paris Olympics With 21 Gold, India in 59th Place

Paris Olympic 2024 Medal Tally

Paris: China retained its top rank in the medal standings at the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris on Monday, winning gold in the sports of badminton, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, and shooting, out of a total of 52 medals. In addition to its 21 gold medals, China has earned 14 bronze, 17 silver, and 17 gold medals as the quadrennial spectacle enters its second week.

The United States of America shot into second position with 19 gold medals overall, winning medals in rowing, golf, and athletics. Thus far, the United States of America has won 27 silver medals.

Australia has won 13 gold medals out of a total of 32, placing it third. In addition, they have won eight bronze and eleven silver medals.

France, the hosts, had 12 gold, 15 silver, and 18 bronze medals, placing them in fourth place. They hope to surpass their previous best performances, having won 45 medals thus far.

With 41 medals in total—11 gold, 13 silver, and 17 bronze—Great Britain is ranked fifth.

India is currently ranked 59th in the rankings with three bronze medals.
