New Delhi: After the Paris Olympics 2024, wrestler Vinesh Phogat will fly to India with Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat. They are anticipated to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, by 10:30 am on Tuesday.
“Vinesh Phogat is travelling to India tonight with Olympic bronze winner Aman Sehrawat, will reach Delhi at 10:30 am IST,” sources told IANS.
After an incredible performance at the Games that saw her blast into the final, Vinesh was spotted exiting the Olympic Village on Monday. However, she was disqualified from the women’s 50kg freestyle gold medal match after being found carrying an extra 100 gm weight during the weigh-in on the match day.

She filed an appeal with the CAS challenging her disqualification from the Olympics and requested a shared silver medal in the 50 kg weight class.
The only arbitrator, Hon. Dr Annabelle Bennett, in the case of Vinesh Phogat vs United World Wrestling & the International Olympic Committee, has been given until 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2024, by the ad hoc division of CAS to give a decision.
