This woman living in Mulund had come to the flyover to commit suicide due to mental stress. Once on the bridge the driver stopped the cab, as she asked him to do so because she wanted to discard some (ritualistic) articles into the river below. While she was preparing to jump, the driver promptly grabbed her by the hair, preventing the jump. At the same time, local traffic policemen spotted the duo and jumped out of their vehicle to save the lady. Reportedly, her family members said the lady was under depression.
Due to the promptness of the cab-driver and these policemen, the woman’s life was saved. The police have counselled the woman and sent her for further treatment.
