New Delhi: On Sunday, the eve of the festival of Janmashtami, the country was enveloped in a joyous and festive atmosphere, with preparations in full swing.
Talking about Delhi, special arrangements were made at the famous Birla Temple of Delhi for the people to enjoy on this auspicious occasion.
Delhi Police will maintain strict vigil in the area around the temple. Security arrangements have been made through CCTV, and Birla Temple volunteers will be present in and around the temple premises along with Delhi Police personnel.
The temple administration says that a special Bhandara will be organised for the people, and ‘Chhappan Bhog’ (56 offerings) will be offered to Lord Shri Krishna.
Along with 56 offerings, there will be decorations with unique costumes, and a vast area will be prepared for devotees to sit on. A large crowd of people gathers here, and given this, preparations have been made. About four different types of pandals have also been erected where people can sit and enjoy the festival of Janmashtami. They can watch Bhajan, Kirtan and Shri Krishna Leela.
