Industrialist Ratan Tata Honoured with Anuvrat Award; Past Recipients Include Dr APJ Abdul Kalaam, Dr Manmohan Singh

Octogenarian Ratan Tata, one of India’s most influential industrialists and philanthropists, was presented with the Anuvrat Award for the year 2023 instituted by Anuvrat Vishva Bharati (ANUVIBHA) at his home in Mumbai.

The award included Rs. 1.51 lakh with a memento and the citation.

While presenting the award, Avinash Nahar, president of the Anuvrat Visva-Bharati Society, highlighted Ratan Tata’s significant and positive contribution to society, inspiring hope and admiration. He congratulated him on behalf of the entire Anuvibha family for setting a great example of humaneness and humanitarian services in the world. The amicable industrialist expressed his heartfelt respect and admiration for Anuvrat Anushasta.

Among others present on the occasion were ANUVIBHA Secretary Shri Bhikham Surana, Commissioner, Mumbai Customs, Shri Ashok Kumar Kothari, Vice President ANUVIBHA Shri Vinod Kumar and Associate Secretary ANUVIBHA Shri Manoj Singhvi.

It is noteworthy that for the last 75 years, the ANUVRAT Movement has been doing commendable work in the field of human unity, morality, non-violence and goodwill. This movement, initiated by the late Acharya Tulsi, has established its special identity in the United Nations. In the series of Anuvrat Awards, so far, a large number of dignitaries of the country, including former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalaam, Former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, Shri Atmaram, Shri Jainendra Kumar, Shri Shivaji Bhave, Shri Shivraj Patil, Shri Nitish Kumar, Dr Prakash Amte and others.

On this occasion, the delegation presented some books on Anuvrat Literature, Monthly Magazine Anuvrat and children’s magazine Bachchon Ka Desh to Shri Ratan Tata and apprised him about the Anuvrat activities being spearheaded by ANUVIBHA, Campaign for purity of means in elections, Anuvrat Digital Detox, Environmental Awareness Campaign, De-addiction Campaign, Jivan Vijnana etc. Shri Ratan Tata appreciated the efforts made by the Anuvrat Movement for the betterment of humanity.
