Mumbai: Get ready to witness a spectacular event as the idol will be installed at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, and the first aarti will take place at 12 noon.
The Mandal’s decoration is inspired by Patwa Ki Haveli of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A 9-foot-high statue of Lord Ganesh will be installed. The pavilion is 40×110 feet and decorated with windows and carvings from the haveli. The decoration work was completed by 70 artisans in 45 days, using eco-friendly and reusable materials.
The organisers of Andheri Cha Raja Ganpati Mandal strictly adhere to a dress code. Therefore, devotees must respect this tradition and avoid wearing short clothes when visiting the Mandal. Only people following the dress code are allowed entry into the pandal.
Mark your calendars for the Ganesh Festival, which will be celebrated from September 7 – September 17, 2024.
