Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended the Ganesh idol immersion ceremony at Masuda Pond in Thane on Monday. Shrikant Shinde, the chief minister’s son and Kalyan MP, also joined and accompanied him. On Saturday, Shinde performed ‘Aarti’ with his family members in honour of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed for the happiness and success of his countrymen at his Thane abode.
The Ganesh Chaturthi festivities began on Saturday with immense enthusiasm and joy around the country.
