Varanasi: On the holy festivals of Navratri and Dussehra, Ramlila is staged at various places in the country.
Meanwhile, a unique scenario emerged in the Central Jail of Varanasi, where the notorious criminals
were seen reciting and staging Ram Charit Manas, attired in colourful costumes. They also took a vow to implement Lord Ram’s ideals in their lives.
Giving information about this Ramlila, Senior Superintendent of Central Jail, Radha Krishna Misra said that the Ramlila being organised in the jail is similar to the one that happens outside the jail. Preparations for this Ramlila started 3 months in advance so that nothing goes wrong when it is staged.
Dussehra is to be celebrated on October 12th.
