Delhi: In a unique and personal celebration, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her husband, the Indian batting legend Virat Kohli, marked Karwa Chauth in a traditional Delhi style.

A video that surfaced online captured the couple, Anushka and Virat, participating in a Kirtan by Krishna Das to celebrate Karwa Chauth, a moment their fans cherished.

Anushka was elegantly dressed in a printed outfit with heart patterns, while Kohli sported a casual look with a pair of denim, a loose-fit sweatshirt, and a baseball cap, adding a touch of personal style to the occasion.

Anushka and Virat, affectionately known as ‘Virushka’ by their fans, tied the knot in December 2017 in an intimate ceremony in Italy. Their family grew in 2021 with the arrival of their daughter, Vamika, and again in February this year with the birth of their son, Akaay.

The couple welcomed their second child, Akaay, in February earlier this year.

Following the Indian Cricket team’s first match against New Zealand in the ongoing three-match test series, Virat took a break to spend time with his family and savour life’s simple pleasures.

The debacle against New Zealand

The current team for the test series against New Zealand includes Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Akash Deep and Washington Sundar.

The Indian team lost their first test against New Zealand in Bengaluru on October 20, marking the first time in 36 years that New Zealand had beaten them at home.

The Indian team struggled in the first innings. The fierce bowling attack from the Kiwis sent the entire squad back to the pavilion for 46 runs.

This marked the third-lowest test total for India and the lowest on its soil. After New Zealand registered a massive lead of 356 runs after the first innings, team India struck back with bat in the second innings and posted a score of 462, with Sarfaraz Khan scoring 150 runs and Rishabh Pant scoring 99.
