The NIA teams in quick raids across Mumbai have found 12 lakh rupees in cash and incriminating documents further strengthening the case against Zakir Naik, founder of the now banned Islamic Research Foundation. the search operations were carried across 12 premises in Mumbai and the documents will help nail NAik who is presently on the run from the authorities.

The Centre has initiated Income tax raids on his premises along with the residences of his close aides and other directors of IRF along with raids on the office of Harmony Media Pvt Ltd which helped create content for Peace Tv, a channel owned and manned by Zakir Naik himself.
