Captain knew it, BCCI to file case

Why Rahul Dravid was unwilling to include Sreesanth in the team for the match against Punjab to be held in Mohali on 9th May? It is proved that Rahul had some leaked news on the illegal activities going on between bookies and Sreesanth already. For the next match to be held on May 15 against Mumbai, captain succeeded to throw him out. Interestingly, Sreesanth was not wanted in Mumbai at all on May 16, from where he was arrested by cops.

Sreesanth, during thorough interrogation by police spoke out the names of some more influenced players of Indian team who were lured with girls and cars by bookies. He confessed that these players accepted gifts like expensive watches and other items in addition to women and costly cars from bookies in exchange of spot-fixing favour.

Anyway, experts and are of the opinion just like it happened in Cronje case in 2000, this will also go irrelevant and the whole case will get crumbled eventually. Reason behind this prediction is the similarity to the charges slapped against players and bookies here in this case. The Delhi police who were handling Cronje case was not even able to file a preliminary chargesheet against him even after a long 13 years.

BCCI, after holding an emergency meeting of their working committee on Sunday, announced that they will file a case against Sreesanth and other two accused as an aggrieved party. As the players are contracted to franchise, the franchise will file complaint on behalf of them.
