Greedy kid hawks stolen bikes on Quikr, held

Noida  kid Sachin Sharma, good at very good at computers decided to use this talent to make some quick bucks through online shopping portal Quikr. But the cops were smarter than him and out-paced him, who caught up with him on Saturday.  Sharma, a second year student of animation and films at CG Mantra Collage in Noida, was arrested by the crime branch cops for allegedly editing photographs of stolen motorcycles, preparing fake registration certificates and selling them on Quikr.com. 
 
Sharma and his associate Amin Khan were involved in sale and purchase of stolen bikes through Quikr and have more than five cases registered against them.  Additional commissioner of police Ravindra Yadav said, " anti-robbery cell received a secret input that two persons would be coming at Agra Canal, near gas plant in Jaitpur, on a stolen motorcycle. A team was constituted and a trap was laid to arrest the men. The arrest was made from near Kalindi Kunj, on the Delhi-Nodia border." 
 
During questioning police were told that Sharma would purchase stolen motorcycles from Amin and then put it up for sale Quikr.  "Sharma revealed that he had come in contact with one Mushtaq, who also lived in his building. Mushtaq told Sharma that men from his village used to steal vehicles from NCR and asked him if he needed a cheap bike. Sharma, who was short of money, wanted to purchase a cheap bike and agreed," Yadav said.  According to police, Mushtaq introduced Sharma to Amin, who arranged for a TVS Apache for the animation student at a low rate. Sharma allegedly thought this to be an easy way to earn money and joined the group. 
 
"He arranged dragon sheets from open market and prepared fake registration certificates. Then, he downloaded insurance software and edited it to prepare forged RCs, insurance certificates, address proofs, election ID-cards, etc. He took on a fake name, Deepak, and got a fake Faridabad address," Yadav said.
