Since the onset of monsoon on June 12, both Santacruz and Colaba have already recorded over 100mm rainfall. The average season total for Colaba is 2230mm and for Santacruz 2558mm.

On Sunday, maximum temperatures in the city hovered at 27C and minimum temperatures at 24.8C.

As rains drenched the city, several low-lying areas, including Damodar Park in Ghatkopar, C D Marg in Khar and St Andrews Road extension in Bandra, got flooded. Corporator Pravin Chheda said, "Chirag Nagar and Damodar Park in Ghatkopar are chronic flooding spots, but the de-watering pumps did help."
