All is not well with the ‘Dabangg’ of Bollywood. After being identified by 3 witnesses in the hit and run case, a Juhu waiter testifies saying that he had served food and drinks to Salman and his friends on the night of the accident.

According to Molay Baug, the waiter at the Rain Bar, he had served Salman’s friend white rum, cocktail prawns and chicken. But as per sources during cross examination, he faltered saying, “it is impossible to remember what exactly person has ordered simply by memory.”

Baug told Judge D W Deshpande that Salman’s friends had placed an order at the bar and that he does not remember if Salman consumed drinks or not. As stated by him, “At the manager's behest I served them Bacardi (white rum) and cocktails. They ordered prawns and chicken too, which was served. They were at the bar till 1.10 am."

During a cross-examination, contradicting his earlier statement, he said, “The lights were dim and it was dark, and hence I could not see who had consumed liquor, all that I remember is that I had served drinks to this group which had come with Salman," he told defence lawyer Srikant.

Another witness constable Laxman More said, “Sohail Khan went to Rain Bar around 10.30 pm. I waited outside, after which Salman came there with his friends and bodyguard Ravindra Patil. Sohail returned to Galaxy Apartments around 2 pm, after which I waited in the compound. Salman had still not reached there. At around 3 am; a man came running to us and informed us that Salman had met with an accident nearby. I rushed to the spot with the man in his car, but did not find Salman at the accident spot. We waited there for two to three minutes," he said.

Jagannath Kenjralkar examined the witnesses in the court to prove that the actor had allegedly drove his Toyota Land Cruiser on 4 people who were sleeping on the pavement near American Express Bakery on Hill Road Junction in Bandra on September 28, 2002. In this incident one person was killed and the superstar was booked for negligence and rash driving. It later turned into a culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Salman is being tried by the sessions court under Sections 304 (I) (rash and negligent driving), 304 (II) (death by negligence), and 299 (culpable homicide). If Salman is acquitted under these charges then he may face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
