A harried American woman has decided to end her parking troubles with a single shot—by paying a cool $560,000 for a space to park her two cars near her multimillion-dollar home in downtown Boston.

And the lady Lisa Blumenthal is not highly surprised with the quotation, saying she thought the amount a little more heated than what she thought it would have been. Blumenthal won the spots during an on-site auction held on Friday by the local authorities, who seized the spot from a man who owed taxes. Bidding for the spots in one of the most parking unfriendly sections of the city, the Back Bay, began at $42,000. It shot up to six figures within seconds. When the auction ended 15 minutes later, Blumenthal agreed to pay $560,000.

It can be noted that the average price of a single-family home in Massachusetts is $313,000. The record for a single spot in Boston is $300,000.
