Indian Army avenges Raj

ME News Bureau: New Delhi: In what is reminiscent of India’s recent surgical strikes on Pakistan territory, the Indian Army soldiers killed three Pakistani soldiers belonging to the 12 Division of the Baluch regiment of the Pakistan Army after crossing the Line of Control (LoC) early on Monday.

Terming the action as a "local tactical operation," sources from the Indian Army stated that a fourth Pakistan soldier was also injured in the strike. The cross-border attack is also being described as revenge for the killing of four Indian soldiers by the Pakistan Army on Saturday in Rajouri.

However, unlike the ‘surgical strike’ of September 29, 2016, there is no Center acknowledgment this time as the Indian Army declined to either confirm or deny the cross-border attack.

But the Pakistani Army released a media announcement confirming the casualties and injury. This comes soon after the gunning down of another Pakistan Army sniper on Sunday near Rajouri.

The disputed border between the two countries has been witnessing a growing commando-style operations since the last two years, as peace talks between India and Pakistan were shelved following a terror strike on the Indian Air Force (IAF) Pathankot base in January 2016.
