ME News Bureau: It was Farhan Akhtar’s turn on yesterday to celebrate his birthday in the tinsel town but today it will be the ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan who will light the Bollywood with his candle lights.

While 2017 may not have been a very amiable year for Hrithik, this year already seems to be looking bright as he turns a year older today and what can only be considered a 'cherry on the cake' moment is the endearing birthday message for him straight from his ex-wife Sussanne Khan who shared an adorable selfie with a caption that read, "Forever and always you stay the sunshine in my life.. Happy happiest birthday… smile that smile brightest and u always will spread that light… limitless #sacredheart."

Hrithik and Sussanne married in 2000 and officially divorced in 2014. However, they still continue to co-parent their kids and support each other.

Fans of the 'Krrish' star have also been sending across their wishes to the superstar with the hashtag '#HappyBirthdayHrithikRoshan', which has been trending on Twitter as well.

Known as the ‘Greek God’ of Bollywood, in a career spanning 18 years, Hrithik has proved that he isn’t just an exceptional dancer, but is also one of the most versatile actors with his choices of roles in films spanning from his prodigious debut in 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' to being a risk taker by playing roles such as that of a terrorist in films like 'Mission Kashmir' and 'Fiza'.

He went on to experiment with roles such as playing a mentally challenged man in 'Koi Mil Gaya', a scheming thief in 'Dhoom 2', a euthanasia seeking magician in 'Guzaarish' among others.

Furthermore, he also acted in many critically acclaimed films as well such as in a remake of the classic film 'Agneepath' where he reprised the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan that was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original and also the hit 'Jodhaa Akbar' where he played Emperor Akbar with panache.

Here's wishing Hrithik Roshan a very happy birthday and may he continue to inspire us in the years to come.
