Media Eye News Bureau: 10 people have killed in a major fire at the Bavana industrial area in the national capital on Saturday evening.

A few people are reported to be trapped inside the building.

Fire and rescue team started rescue operations soon after they got the information about the fire at 6.30 pm. Reports say the fire had spread from carpet factory to the other factories.

Fire and rescue official say the situation has been under control now.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted to say that the government is keeping a close watch on the rescue operations. "Very sad to hear about the large number of casualties," he tweeted.

"Learnt about a serious fire incident in a private factory at Bawana. Several casualties reported. Monitoring the situation. Ordered enquiry," Another minister Satyendar Jain tweeted.
