Media Eye News Bureau: Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rajeev Gowda, and Randeep Surjewala recently said that the government is compromising national interests and national security.

They also stated that due to the non-transparent nature regarding the disclosure of purchase price of aircrafts, violation of mandatory provisions of defence procurement procedure as well as prior clearance from the cabinet committee on security by the PM have delayed the purchase of 36 Rafale Fighter Aircrafts from the Dassault Aviation of France. The Congress said, “Tragically, Defence Minister has finally refused to disclose the purchase price in Parliament on 5th February, 2018.This itself raises serious questions on the intent and motive of Modi Government.”

Congress President Rahul Gandhi also dubbed the event as the ‘great Rafale mystery’ and also accused PM Modi of going to Paris to get the deal changed.
