Punjab CM gives Canadian

Media Eye News Bureau: Punjab CM Amarinder Singh recently discussed the Khalistan issue during a meeting with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau while handing him a list of Canada-based operatives allegedly involved in promoting radicalism in Punjab. Canadian defence minister Harjit Sajjan and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu were also present at the meeting as well.

The CM’s media advisor Raveen Thukral expressed that Trudeau had assured Singh that his country did not support ‘any separatist movement in India or elsewhere.’

Singh took to Twitter to express his sentiments, he tweeted, “Really happy to receive categorical assurance from Canadian PM@Justin Trudeau that his country does not support any separatist movement. His words are a big relief to all of us here in India and we look forward to his government’s support in tackling fringe separatist elements.”

The two leaders also discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the two nations across various sectors such as higher education, scientific research, technology, innovation and skill development as well.
