Media Eye News Bureau: Ending hours of speculations, the mortal remains of Legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi who passed away after accidentally drowning in her bathtub at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers on Saturday night arrived at the Mumbai airport by 9.40 pm today.
Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and her family has received her body from the authorities and are on their way to Mumbai.
As per the latest reports, Sridevi's funeral will be held at 3.30 pm on Wednesday in a crematorium near Pawan Hands, near Vile Parle West in Mumbai
The Kapoor family said in a statement that Sridevi's body will be kept at the Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala for the public to see her for the final time and to pay their last respects. “On behalf of Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor, the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families, a sincere thanks to the media for your continued sensitivity and support during this emotional moment,” the statement read.
The Dubai Public Prosecution had played down all the rumours regarding the actor's death and officially declared that she died due to accidental drowning and issued a clearance letter to the Kapoor family, which enabled them to proceed with the embalming procedures.
The entire Bollywood fraternity and other big stars have already visited Anil Kapoor’s residence to pay their respects soon after the shocking demise of Sridevi.
