Media Eye News Bureau: Hours after the Telugu Desam Party decided to intensify its fight over the centre not honouring the commitments made to the state, BJP President Amit Shah spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over the phone,.

Amit Shah called up and invited the TDP leader to discuss commitments made during the bifurcation of the state. Chandrababu Naidu said that he will send a delegation led by the central minister Sujana Chowdary. Naidu also asserted that there will be no compromise on the commitments made in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014. He said that TDP's fight is for the justice to the state and isn’t against BJP.

TDP had stalled proceedings in Parliament during the first leg of the budget session and gearing up to continue the protest in the second leg that begins next week.

TDP has asked that the Centre make financial allocations to the state in order to fulfil commitments made to Andhra Pradesh at the time of its bifurcation in 2014. TDP is also urging the Centre to handhold the state till it is at par with other southern states by stating that the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh suffered huge loss due to the division.
