Media Eye News Bureau: Poll results of the three Northeastern states- Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland- will be out today as the counting will begin at 8 am today.
Elections were held for 59 seats in Tripura and Meghalaya while for 60 seats in Nagaland.
The three Northeastern states witnessed an unprecedented way of poll campaigning with BJP's political entrance into the states make this election more intense.
CPI(M) and BJP fight each other for the first time in Tripura which is being ruled by Manik Sarkar led Communist government for more than 20years. BJP's emergence as a strong unit in the state and the exit polls predicting a BJP surge already sent shock waves in the CPI(M) camp.
In Meghalaya and Nagaland, small parties will make a serious impact in the outcome with NPP in Meghalaya and NPF and NDPP pose a huge challenge for the BJP and Congress.
