Dwayne Johnson's latest film, Rampage has moved its release date from April 20, 2018 to April 13, 2018. The date change comes after Walt Disney announced that they would be releasing Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War on April 27.

Rampage is based on a 1980s video game and follows the story of three creatures, namely, a monstrously transformed gorilla, crocodile and wolf who terrorize a city and the man who must stop them.

In the film, Johnson plays primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth.  But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this ape into a raging monster after which it’s soon discovered that there are other similarly altered alpha predators as well who are destroying everything in their path. Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote to halt global catastrophe.

The film is helmed by Ryan Engle and Adam Sztykiel and also stars actors Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne, Marley Shelton, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid and Matt Gerald besides Johnson.
