The much anticipated Spice Girls reunion might likely not happen soon as band member Mel C stated that the group wouldn’t reform without fellow member Victoria Beckham.
It had been reported that the group were considering performing as a four piece after the prospect of a reunion tour was dismissed by Posh Spice.
Mel C elaborated, “Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time. I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky.”
She also confirmed that there were “no plans” for a tour involving the four remaining members and said, “It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time.”
When asked about rumours that the Spice Girls could reform at London Pride in July, Mel C said, “That would be a very fitting place for the Spice Girls to reform but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year.”
She also responded to Mel B’s suggestions that the group could perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding and said, “I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke,” she continued, “I’ve met Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers.”
