Marvel’s Black Panther has set yet another record. Ryan Coogler’s film that had the highest opening weekend ever and went on to become the highest-grossing solo superhero movie ever, topping the box office for five weeks and more, went on to become the most tweeted about movie of all time.
With more than 35 million tweets, Black Panther has generated more Twitter comments than any other movie. The record was previously held by two recent Star Wars movies namely The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
According to Twitter, the most used Black Panther related hashtags are #BlackPanther, #WakandaForever, and #Wakanda while the most retweeted tweets about the film are rapper Kendrick Lamar’s reveal of the soundtrack tracklist he curated, a video of kids trying to buy tickets using a trench coat as a disguise, and former First Lady Michelle Obama’s praise for the film.
