Former Union Minister and newly elected MLA in Karnataka Siddu Nyamagouda, 70, died in a road accident today morning. Nyamagouda's car crashed with a truck when the MLA was returning to his constituency Jamkhandi from Goa.
He was brought to the hospital immediately but efforts to keep alive his life went in vein. Nyamagouda defeated BJP's Srikanth Kulkarni in the recent election in Karnataka.
Siddu Nyamagouda was a minister in the PV Narasimha Rao government in 1991.
