Battle for Madhya Pradesh continues to be a see-saw one as the BJP overtakes Congress in the dying moments in the state. Earlier the Congress was racing to victory in MP and were in a position to take 3-0 in the Hindi heartland. In Rajasthan, there is no clear winner at the moment where the Congress leads with 95 seats while BJP in 80 seats out of the 101 seats required for majority. Others with 24 seats will play a crucial part in Rajasthan.

The Congress came out victorious in Chattisgarh where they gained 60 seats while the BJP have secured 22 seats only out of the 90 seats up for grabs. The BJP has been ruling the state for the last 15 years under the leadership of Raman Singh.

The current election results come as a shocker to the BJP as they were expecting a dominant performance in the major Hindi states.

Meanwhile K Chandrashekar Rao's Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has routed the Congress and the BJP in Telangana while the Mizo National Front (MNF) raised to power in Mizoram with a well ahead majority.
