The death toll in the devastating tsunami that uprooted Indonesia on Saturday night 9.30 rises to 281 while thousands are injured. Many buildings are destroyed in the tsunami waves that mainly targeted the Southern Sumatra and the western Java in the island nation.
The national agencies have initially come to a conclusion that the unprecedented changes under the sea and a volcanic burst are the prime reasons for the tsunami and also warned that the casualty figures might be shooting up further.
