New Delhi:Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Thursday that the word minority does not only denote Muslims and that there are five other reported minorities: Jains, Buddhists, Christians, Parsis and Sikhs.
In response to a supplementary question in the Lok Sabha, the minister said the government had connected 308 minority districts in the last five years under the ' Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram ' (PMJVK) scheme limited to 90 districts in the UPA administration.
