Kochi:The injury sustained by MLA Eldho Abraham of the Communist Party of India (CPI) during a Tuesday protest march is becoming a significant problem in both the party and the government of the Left.
The CPI is the ruling Left government's second-largest ally in the state. It's got four cabinet ministers.
Abraham experienced the injury when he was thrashed by police on Tuesday during a protest march in Kochi with two other senior CPI leaders. With his left side in a plaster, Abraham is seen moving around since the police beat.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ordered a magisterial probe by the Ernakulam District Collector. The report will be submitted on Monday.
