Bengaluru: Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar announced on Monday his choice to step down moments after freshly minted state chief minister BS Yediyurappa cleared the ballot by a vote of the confidence.
Kumar's announcement comes one day after he disqualified 14 more legislators from the assembly on requests submitted by Congress and the Secular Janata Dal.
