Srinagar:In connection with a multi-crore scam in Jammu and the Kashmir Cricket Association, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and the president of the National Conference (NC) party Dr. Farooq Abdullah was challenged by the Enforcement Directorate at Chandigarh on Wednesday. Abdullah was JKCA's chairman between 2001 and 2011, a period when it is said that the supposed irregularities occurred at the tune of Rs 113-crore. He was requested from the bank account of the cricket body for suspected money laundering, one official source said.

JKCA officials including Dr. Farooq Abdullah were named in the FIR and charges lodged by the CBI on 18 July 2018, alleging the laundering of multiple crores on bogus bank accounts belonging to the government cricket authority.
