The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) threatened to go on strike on August 7 if their stipend does not match that of resident Central Institute physicians.
The association said in a press release here that Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan had promised previously this year a hike in the stipend but nothing had occurred since then.
MARD will withdraw from all services, including emergency ones, the release said.
