3 doctors get bail on Pay

Mumbai: On Friday, the Bombay high court given bail to the three doctors connected to BYL Nair Hospital in Mumbai and detained for supposedly driving a postgraduate student to kill herself at the state-run hospital, Dr. Payal Tadvi.

The high court granted them bail of the same sum on personal bonds of Rs 2 lakh each and one or two sureties of the same amount.. The high court held them from leaving the town and also ordered them to remain away from Nair Hospital.

The high court said that for the length of the trial, the licenses of all three accused physicians for medicine will stay suspended.

All three doctors — Hema Ahuja, Bhakti Meher, and Ankita Khandelwal — were ordered to go every second day to the local police station.
