India's minister of foreign affairs, S Jaishankar, met in Bejing with Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi. The meeting was held in the Diaoyutai guest house, once Chairman Mao Zedong's residence, but now used to receive overseas officials.
Jaishankar is visiting Beijing from 11th to 13th on a pre-scheduled visit and left on Sunday for China. During the visit, the focus will be on the second informal summit later this year between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Post lunch, both the foreign ministers will later inaugurate the India China Media forum and make press statements as well.
