Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) canceled the Delhi-Lahore bus service on Monday as Pakistan chose to stop it after India revoked the unique status of Jammu and Kashmir, a senior government transporter official said.

A senior Pakistani minister has announced on Saturday that he will suspend Monday's friendship bus service. On Monday 6 AM, a bus from Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) was planned to depart for Lahore. However, due to the decision of Pakistan to suspend the bus service, it did not leave, the official said.

"As a result of Pakistan's decision to suspend the Delhi-Lahore bus service, DTC will not be able to send bus (from Delhi to Lahore) from 12 August," DTC said.
