GURGAON: A lady from Uzbekistan, who went to India about two months earlier, claimed that three men in Gurgaon had gang-raped her, including a scrap dealer on Facebook that she had friends with. She informed the police that she had known the Gurgaon-based scrap dealer for two years. He called her to meet him on Saturday and picked her up in a vehicle from Masoodpur in southern Delhi. There were two other guys with him.
The woman claimed to have been taken to a Gurgaon flat where the three men had gang-raped and thrashed her. "She claimed they began assaulting her and they thrashed her badly when she resisted and took turns to rape her," said a police officer.
The woman was dumped in south Delhi near her apartment. Her friends took her to All India Medical Sciences Institute after informing them about the ordeal. The police were notified by the hospital employees.
A case has been filed against the three accused, who are still on the run, at a police station in Vasant Kunj.
