Slamming the Congress-led opposition for going to Jammu and Kashmir, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Monday said the leaders should have thought before making the visit as it will give a chance for the BJP to politicise the issue. In a sequence of Hindi tweets, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said B.R. Ambedkar was always in favour of the country's equality, unity and integrity.
"He was not in favour of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which is why the BSP endorsed the axing of Article 370."She said it took 69 years after the Constitution came into force to remove the Article.
"It's going to take some time for things to get normal in the state. We're going to have to wait a while for the situation to enhance.
