Solapur:Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a shot at the Congress and Sharad Pawar Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra on Sunday over their party leaders entering the BJP in the run-up to the state election due later this year. Amit Shah, the BJP president, was in south Maharashtra's Solapur, addressing the ''Mahajanadesh Yatra'' launched on August 1 by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
"If the BJP opens its door entirely, except for Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan, there will be no one left in their parties," said Mr. Shah while addressing a rally in Solapur.
On Sunday, Mr. Pawar lost two MLAs known to be close to him, to the BJP. In the presence of Mr. Shah, they joined the BJP. Along with them, the Congress MLA, Jaykumar Gore, also moved to the BJP. Another leader of the NCP, who is also related to Mr. Pawar, left Saturday.
