Kerala police issued warnings to all districts throughout the state on Monday following the warning of a terror attack from the army. Loknath Behera, Chief Police Officer of Kerala, has asked police officers to maintain rigorous vigilance in public locations. The risk increased after the Army retrieved some deserted ships from Gujarat's Sir Creek region overlapping and crisscrossing Pakistani waters.

"We have got many inputs that there may be a terrorist attack in southern part of India and peninsular India," Lt Gen S K Saini, GOC-in-C of the Army's Southern Command.
