UP ministers to pay incom

Under an order given by the state government on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and all members of the Council of Ministers will pay their own income taxes.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the abolition of a provision of the 1981 Uttar Pradesh Ministers ' Salaries, Allowances and Miscellaneous Act, under which the state treasury paid the ministers ' income tax.

Sharing information of the order, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that all ministers ' revenue tax had been paid by the state treasury until now, but according to the instructions of the chief minister, from now on all ministers will pay their own income tax.
