In one of India’s worst terrorist attacks 40 CRPF personnel had been killed in Pulwama in February 2019. Now the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Pulwama resident and his daughter in connection with the suicide bomb attack. NIA officials have stated that the father and daughter duo had harboured the prime suspect Adil Ahmad Dar, Shakir Magrey and senior Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists.
The 50 year old man Tariq Ahmed Shah and his 23 year old daughter Insha Jan are being questioned by NIA officials. The terrorists had planned the attack on CRPF convoy at Shah’s house. Magrey who provided shelter and logistical help to Dar was arrested last week.
According to NIA, Magrey drove the car on the day of the attack but got down from the vehicle just 500 metres away from the attack site, which shows his close involvement in the plot.
