New Delhi: The Delhi court for the fourth time issued the death warrant against four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case with a scheduled date of March 20 at 5.30 a.m.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana said, "It is directed that convicts shall be hanged by the neck until they are dead by on March 20 at 5.30 a.m." earlier the execution date of 6 am was changed.

Vinay, Akshay, Mukesh and Pawan were previously set hang on different dates that were deferred until further orders on Pawan's mercy petition came. Whose legal remedies were pending till the last date of execution were yet to be exhausted Pawan was the only convict whose legal remedies were pending till the last date of execution.

Meanwhile, Asha Devi the victim’s mother said she hopes March 20 would be the final execution date who has been imploring the former daughter’s justice of death.

Six people, including the four convicts and a juvenile, were named as accused as the country witnessed the heinous crime of gang-raping a young female student on a bus in December 2012 which outraged Indians who came on streets after the victims succumbed to her injuries.

Ram Singh, the sixth accused, allegedly committed suicide in Tihar jail days after the trial began in the case. The juvenile was released in 2015 after spending three years in a correctional home.
