Karnataka resident Mahmad Hussain Siddiqui, 76, suspected to be suffering from coronavirus expired on Tuesday night. His body was brought to Kalaburgi for last rites. Siddiqui was admitted in a hospital in Hyderabad. District magistrate Dr. M.A. Jabbar issued an official circular regarding this. Sources said that Siddiqui had come back from Saudi Arabia on February 29 and was suffering from cold, fever and cough. His throat swab has been sent for analysis and the report is awaited. Sources in Kalaburgi hospital have however ruled out possibility of him being infected with coronavirus.
