India cancelled all visa

New Delhi: India on Wednesday cancelled all visas, except for a few official categories, till April 15 part of stepping up border control measures. India’s outbound travel is also being informed at COVID19 situation and for travelers restricted for 14 days' quarantine. 

This will come into effect on March 13, and any foreign national who intends to travel to India for a compelling reason may contact the nearest Indian embassy to curb the inflow of foreign nationals into the country with visa controls.

All incoming travellers, including Indian nationals, arriving from or having visited China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany after February 15 will be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days. 

Incoming travellers, including Indians, are advised to avoid non-essential travel and informed quarantined for a minimum of 14 days on their arrival in India. International traffic through land borders will be restricted and will be notified separately by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A provision has been made for testing primarily for students/compassionate cases in Italy and collection for samples to be organised accordingly. Those tested negative will be allowed to travel and will be quarantined on arrival in India for 14 days.
