Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named E Sreedharan as its Chief Ministerial candidate for Kerala. The state will hold its assembly polls next month. The decision was announced by BJP state chief K. Surendran.
Sreedharan, the architect of Konkan railways as well as Delhi Metro had recently joined BJP at a function at Changaramkulam in Malappuram district.
88 year old Sreedharan is also a part of BJP’s 16 member state election committee for the state assembly polls. Election of 140 member Kerala assembly will be held on April 6. The current tenure of Pinarayi Vijayan will end on June 1.
