The local train, a Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS), was moving from Falaknuma to Secunderabad when it collided on the same track with an Intercity Express train. False signaling was the reason of accident The arrival on platform No 2 at the Kacheguda railway station was given a green signal, but another train was already standing there. The MMTS train, which slowed down as it approached the railway station, rammed into the Inter-City Express only a few meters from the platform, "said an unnamed South Central railway official.
